“Alex was the best doula our family could ever ask for. She was very responsive by text and by phone during the the weeks leading up to the birth of our child. On the day when I went into labor she was constantly checking in on me at every step of the way. When she realized that my contractions started getting less consistent and more spaced out, she suggested certain exercises and eventually came over my home and coached me through different exercises to help my baby get in the right position so my contractions would become more consistent. This really helped to get things going. Throughout the labor process, but especially when things continued getting more and more intense she was by myself with a calming voice telling me that I could do this, telling me I was doing a good job, anticipating my needs, applying counter pressure, and supporting my husband as well. My family truly credits her for making it possible for us to have a successful natural birth (first pregnancy), with active labor being a mere 5 hours!! “Having Alexandra as my doula was an absolute privilege! I had planned for a natural birth at a birthing center and ended up with a very long and taxing labor with an emergency c-section. Through the whole thing I felt supported, heard, and like I had the time and space I needed to make decisions. The baby prep visits and classes taught us so much and being able to text Alex whenever for advice on anything baby related was so great especially for an anxious first time mom. After delivering my baby I ended up having a medical emergency and they were so supportive of my little family. It’s difficult for me to put into words the appreciation I have for Alex and her doula services. While the guidance and information she provided throughout my pregnancy were superb, her care and support during my labour and delivery were priceless.

I had a long labour and a very difficult delivery and she stayed by my side throughout it, not just encouraging and helping me, but my husband as well. She educates and advocates for her clients to make sure they are aware of and consenting to all measures taken. Alex stayed with me and held my hand while I was in surgery and my husband was with our baby in the NICU and provided me with information about what was going on and reassuring me during the scariest moment of my life.
